Harbour Happenings – Two Months In – Construction is moving forward and the Heat of Summer is here!

It has been two months since I have joined the team here at Soverel and it has gone by fast.   I want to thank everyone I have met on the docks for the warm welcome.

While I have not shared the agony of the long delays in the “Construction” or as I like to refer to it, the “Marina Improvement Project” a few of the Marina Slip owners and guests have shared several, did I say “several”, better make that “many”, thoughts and feelings with me on the subject.  One of which was “keep us informed!”  A detailed notice including a Project update is in the works and I would hate to give the plot away but I can say that the underground electrical work is substantially complete and inspected.  The next step will be the installation of the Pump Out System, Shore power and distribution electrical work, brick paving of the slip-side walkway, asphalt work, and finally, landscaping. Like you, I can’t wait.  In the interim please join me in keeping the Marina as safe as possible by respecting the construction fencing and keeping your slip fingers and seawall areas free of debris and equipment, thanks. If you see anything that needs attention please notify me or any Marina Staff.

Well, the heat of summer is here and I am glad to see so many using your boats.  Just a reminder; please remember to stay hydrated along with plenty of sunscreen use is a great prescription for a healthy and happy summer.

Again, please feel free to contact me or any member of the Marina Staff should you have any questions or concerns.
